Zion Quartet 7th Anniversary Concert

Zion Quartet's 7th Anniversary Concert will be on Satuarday, August 1st at 6:00pm EST at West Georgia Worship Center located at

Benefit Gospel Singing featuring Gold City

You're invited to the We've Been There Benefit on Saturday, August 1st at the Noon Day Life Center located on County Rd. 56 halfway between Wedowee and Woodland, AL on Hwy. 48.  100% of the net proceeds from the benefit will help families in need with medical problems. Admission is free...a love offering will be taken.  We are also in need of donation of hamburgers, hot dogs, etc.  The schedule of activities is as follows:

10AM CST  Classic Car and Tractor Show 
11AM CST  Motorcycle Bike Ride (registration at 11...kickstands up at 12pm)
3:30PM -4:30PM CST  Once Blinded  from the stage
6:00PM CST Gold City from the stage

Ugandan Thunder at Oak Mtn. Presbyterian

American audiences will thrill to the music and dancing of Ugandan Thunder Children’s Choir from Africa, a nationally acclaimed choir consisting of 22 multi-talented children.  The choir members range in age from 9-16, and are from the Royal School and Orphanage in Uganda, East Africa.  The Royal School is ranked among the top ten schools in all of Uganda.
Ugandan Thunder will sing some of your favorite songs both in African and American styles. The concert is packed with high energy music, dancing, and interaction with the audience. There will be something for every member of the family. 
Although these children come from one of the poorest countries on the planet, you will be amazed at the genuine joy and peace expressed in their young lives.  This is not just another concert; this could be life-changing!
Ugandan Thunder will be appearing  in a FREE Concert at  Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church, 402 Oak Mountain Road, Carrollton, GA 30116 on Friday, July 31st, at 6:00 PM.  A Love Offering will be taken.
The Ugandan Thunder Tour is sponsored by Pennies for Posho, a non-profit Christian ministry that provides food, clothing, shelter, and clean drinking water for eighteen orphanages in Uganda.  You may read further about this ministry at

WOW returns to Centralhatchee First Baptist

"Organized chaos" is what Pastor Mark calls our WOW nights at Centralhatchee First Baptist!  He has had the summer off and he is ready to get the fun started! Our first WOW (Worship on Wednesday) night will be Aug. 12th starting at 5:30 p.m.  We averaged over 200+ students each night last school year and he would love to see 300+ our first night!
During the evening students will be exposed to Bible study, worship and fellowship, recreational time and a host of other activities. WOW also provides a Bible study for our adults (18 and over) beginning at 6:30 p.m.  Young, or young at heart; there is something for everyone on WOW night and everyone is invited.

Karaoke for Christ at Grace Cafe Church

Grace Café Church in Carrollton host Karaoke for Christ on the 2nd and 3rd Sundays of each month from 2:00pm-4:00pm EST.  This is a free event and all ages are welcome to come sing Christian Karaoke (all styles, from old time gospel to new contemporary Christian music).  Or, you can just come hang out & enjoy the Inspirational music & great positive Christian Fellowship! The Cafe' will be open with a variety of refreshments, including Pizza, snacks, soda, tea & a variety of specialty coffees (including iced coffees for these hot summer days).  Upcoming dates are June 21st, July 12th, July 19th, August 9th and August 16th.  Grace Café Church is located at 1111 Bankhead Hwy. in the former Big Lots shopping center.  For more information, see our facebook page (or search Karaoke4Christ Carrollton, GA).  You can also text 256-589-3889 for more information.

The Community Christian Council Food Bank

The Community Christian Council Food Bank of Haralson County is located in the old Holcombe's Foodland building at 734 Bowdon Street in Tallapoosa.  The food bank serves residents of Haralson County on Thursday of each week from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.  Come in and enjoy a cup of coffee and something sweet.  Then, sign up for your box of food.  Everyone who is qualified receives a box.  We ask that you come just once a month per household so that we can serve all in need.  You will need a picture ID and/or proof of residency in Haralson County.Examples can be phone, water, electric of gas bills in your name.  We look forward to serving the people of Haralson County.  For any other assistance please call 678-215-7610.
